- What does it mean to “share” my HBDI® profile?
- When you “share” your HBDI® Profile, other Thinkers who have also shared their profile can search for you by Name and or email address and will be able to see your HBDI® Profile graphic, your generic preference code (ex. 1122), and Herrmann® descriptions of the code.

- Herrmann’s description of the profile
- Your responses to prompts about your thinking preferences as you choose to share them
- How do I share my HBDI® Profile?
- On the My Settings page of the Thinker Portal, you can check the box next to “Share My Profile” and you’re done!
- Then on each prompt you can choose to share responses or keep them for your own use
- How long does my HBDI® Profile remain shared?
- Your HBDI® Profile remains visible to those you’ve shared it with until you decide you no longer want to share it.
- Who will be able to see my HBDI® profile?
- Your HBDI® Profile, once shared, will be visible to other Thinkers within your organization who have also shared their profile. And of course, the Certified HBDI® Practitioner is able to see your HBDI® Profile too.
- Why would I want to share my HBDI® profile anyway?
- Sharing your HBDI® Profile allows other thinkers to better understand your thinking preferences, how you prefer to communicate, solve problems, make decisions, and so much more. That better understanding can make conversations more impactful, team work more effective, and many other applications.
- Will I be able to tell who can see my HBDI® profile after I share it?
- It is important to Herrmann® that you know who can see your HBDI® Profile. First, know that only those who have shared their profile, can see your profile. (You show me yours, I'll show you mine.) And you can review a directory of Thinkers who you have shared with and they have shared with you.
- Herrmann can provide a report to any Thinker that will includes the information about who can see your HBDI® Profile.
- Once I’ve shared my HBDI® Profile, can others share my profile?
- Others can't share your HBDI® Profile by way of Herrmann's portal.
- If a person takes a screen shot of your profile, then it is possible for them to share your profile, but this is not within Herrmann's guidelines.
- Once I've shared my HBDI profile, is that all I can do with the sharing process?
- Herrmann continues to add dynamic exercises to the Thinker Portal. In the near future, Thinkers who have shared their HBDI profile will be able to do comparison work and use the tools to prepare conversations with other Thinkers to improve their working relationships. Stay tuned to your Thinker Portal for updates and added resources.
- Can I control who I share my HBDI® profile with?
- Your HBDI® Profile will be share within your organization to others who have shared their profile.
- If I share my HBDI® Profile, can I see other Thinker’s HBDI® profiles?
- When you share your HBDI® Profile, you'll be able to see other Thinker's profiles as they share theirs with the organization.
- If I don’t share my HBDI® Profile, can I see other Thinker’s HBDI® profiles?
- If you don't share your HBDI® Profile you won't be able to see other Thinker's profiles. This "sharing" process builds a community of Thinkers, so to be a part of that community, you'll need to share your HBDI® Profile too.
- What if I change my mind and don’t want to share my HBDI® profile any longer?
- If you decide that you no longer want to share your HBDI® Profile, you can simply un-check the box for sharing. This of course, does mean, that you will also no longer be able to see other Thinker's HBDI® Profiles. In essence, you've left the community at that point.
- How can I manage or delete information about me?
- At anytime you can edit your responses and share or keep private any responses.
- Do I need to share my HBDI Profile with my HBDI Practitioner?
- There's no need to share your HBDI Profile with your HBDI Practitioner, they already have access.
