WHO does this challenge impact:
Practitioners and Thinkers accessing, printing and Downloading reports from Chrome
WHY is this important?
Practitioners and Thinkers need to download reports for various purposes. And Chrome doesn't work well with PDFs generated this way.
WHAT is the challenge:
Sometimes a CP or Thinker may try to download a PDF copy of a report in Axon using Google Chrome's built-in PDF viewer and Chrome produces and error...or nothing at all happens.
HOW to get to a resolution:
- Click the printer icon instead of download icon
- Change Destination to “Save as PDF”
- Click Save
- Choose where to save the PDF
- Open the PDF report to ensure all data is present
The report will download as a PDF and will be viewable and printable at this point. The above instructions are for Windows based operating systems but print to PDF functionality works similarly on Mac OS as well.
(Other Browsers do not present this same issue...so if you want, you could try another Browser like Friefox or Edge.)
