What's New in Thinker Portal?
August 2025
Fixed: Journey 1 now advances correctly after the ‘Taking Action’ module
- Fixed an issue in Journey 1 where the “Next” button after the “Taking Action” module directed users to a blank page.
- Users are now taken to the appropriate next activity in the Journey.
Fixed: Users with updated data roles can now be added to Teams without delays
- Fixed an issue that caused a delay in adding users with updated data roles to Teams.
- Users can now be added to Teams right away after their data role is updated.
Fixed: Editable text and selection boxes now display in Journey 2 Additional Insights
- Fixed an issue in Journey 2 where certain text and editable options were missing on the Introversion/Extroversion screen in the Additional Insights module.
- These elements now display and can be edited as expected.

Track your team’s effectiveness directly from your homepage
- A new Team Effectiveness widget shows your team’s latest effectiveness score and trend, based on recent survey results.
- Easily view your team's performance or click the widget to explore detailed insights.
- If your team hasn't completed a survey yet, the widget will prompt you to get started.
New: Easily switch between teams on the Teams Homepage
- You can now select and manage which team's information appears on your homepage.
- Simply click the new team dropdown to quickly choose from your most recently viewed teams, updating your view instantly.
New: Team Profile Widget on Teams Homepage
- Added a team widget that displays the team's name and a preference map, with individual users represented by their initials or avatars.
Moved Take Action button and the Next Card button to the bottom of the "Team Actions" Card on Teams Homepage
- Made minor changes to the layout of the Team Actions Card.

Flexible sharing permissions now available in the Thinker Portal.
- You can now manage who can view your shared profile with new, easy-to-use permissions.
- Choose to share with your entire organization or just your teams.
- These settings are saved automatically and update in real time.
- Certified Practitioners will receive confirmation when inviting new Thinkers to a team, and team members can now leave teams directly from the Sharing Permissions page.
Email and in-platform notifications for team invitations
- Thinkers now receive both an email and a notification dot when they are invited to a team.
- The notification dot appears on the user’s avatar and next to the “Sharing Permissions” menu item, persisting until the invitation is accepted or declined.
- Invitations are visible in Settings under a dedicated section, with clear actions to accept or decline.
- Accepting or declining triggers a confirmation to the team manager via email or in-app notification, ensuring both parties stay informed throughout the process.
Updated: Team creators no longer receive invitation emails
- Team Managers will no longer receive invitation emails when creating their own teams.
- This removes unnecessary notifications and streamlines the team creation experience.
Improved team creation and invitation management
- Team Managers can now easily create teams by selecting members, setting permissions, and sending invitations directly from the Thinker Portal.
- Invitations are clearly tracked with invite dates and statuses, allowing managers to quickly see who has accepted or declined.
- Managers can also re-invite users if needed, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.

Add Certified Practitioner role to team management in Thinker Portal
- Thinkers who create new teams and managers of existing teams can now select “Practitioner” as a role for users in a team in the Thinker Portal.
- The Practitioner role will function similarly to the current Manager role, with one major exception: users in the Practitioner role will not have their Thinker scores, codes, or data combined with those of other team members, and therefore will not be reflected in any Team Charts or other data outputs.
- This role is meant to be an observer and a passive participant in Teams activities.

- We have updated the header and navigation across the Thinker Portal, HBDI Digital, and Org Admin for a more seamless experience.
- Navigation is now consistent across all sections.
- The search function now allows users to find teammates for sharing & comparing or locate teams more efficiently.

Update Survey backend in the Thinker Portal and Stop & Think
- Updated the backend system serving the Pulse Survey to the new Alchemer system.
- This also updates how surveys are processed on the back end, as we’ve been able to better control what data our system receives to speed up reporting and processing.
- The new system also allows for better Accessibility handling, error checking, and other improvements not visible to our end users.

FIXED: Signals only showing limited instances of when Pulse Survey was completed
- Fixed an issue in Signals where some survey periods were not appearing in reports.
- Users will now see their last four completed survey periods, even if there were gaps between them.
- Previously, the system only looked at the past four months, which could include empty periods.
- Now, it retrieves the last four completed surveys regardless of when they occurred.
Remove Adapt Post Survey from Accelerator Tools
- The final step of Accelerator Tools included a Pulse Survey link that is not being utilized.
- The link has been removed.

Fixed: J1 required to be toggled for J2 to work properly

Updated our system to remove the requirement that a customer data role have both Journey and Journey v2 turned on in order to access various features.

The systems are now independent of each other and data roles should be configured with either Journey OR Journey v2 but not both.

Journey is being deprecated, so all customers should be set up with Journey v2 only or migrate from Journey to Journey v2.
Accessibility Upgrades: Thinker Portal (misc items)
- Some interactive elements were made larger to meet guidelines for touch target size (navigation bar items, checkboxes in journey self-reflection).
- Language attribute was added to any documents that did not have one.
- Elements with invalid ARIA attributes were corrected.
- Profile unlock code input was given an accessible label.
- Loading animation image was given alternative text for screen readers.
- Contrast was improved on some elements in Journey.

Fixed: Users' Journey v2 progress differs between Axon invitation and Axon users profile page
- We resolved an issue where progress percentages displayed on the Journey v2 invitation and profile pages were inconsistent.
- Users will now see accurate and synchronized progress updates across both pages.
- Additionally, locked profiles will no longer incorrectly show 100% progress unless truly completed.
- This update ensures a clearer and more reliable tracking experience.
Fixed: Grammar Error Under "Guess Your Profile"
- Resolved basic grammar issues with the “Guess Your Profile” portion of the user learning journey.
Fixed: Links in Manage Team Transitions (TAT) aren't Redirecting to the Correct Place
- Resolved an issue where the URLs for some embedded links were not resolving to the proper tabs and accordions within Accelerator Tools.
Accessibility Upgrades: Teams Pages Navigation
- Teams navigation (top nav and Accelerator Tools nav) are now fully keyboard navigable.
- Thinkers who use the keyboard to browse the web can now fully access all the Teams content.
Accessibility Upgrades: HBDI Digital Contrast Guidelines
- Some text content in HBDI Digital did not have enough contrast against the background for low-vision users.
- This has been remedied.
Accessibility Upgrades: HBDI Digital Text
- Link descriptions for quadrants and other pieces of the 4-quadrant model in HBDI Digital have been improved for screen reader access.
Accessibility Upgrades: HBDI Digital (priority misc. items)
- Users can now zoom in on the HBDI Digital platform if they need to enlarge type or other aspects.
- FAQs are now fully keyboard navigable for users who use keyboards or similar devices.
- Ask Your CP input box has a programmatic label for accessibility compliance and screen reader behavior improvement.
What's New in Axon?
August 2025
Updated: The 'Profile Shared' column in Axon now reflects the Thinker's sharing setting.
- The "Profile Shared" field in Axon now shows either "Team”, "Organization", or “No based on each Thinker's sharing setting in their portal, replacing the old "Yes"/"No" display.
- Profile Shared Status in Axon:
- Team – The Thinker's profile is shared only with the Teams they are a part of.
- Organization – The Thinker's profile is shared with the entire organization.
- No – The Thinker has either not created their profile yet or has not unlocked their results.
- This makes it easier to understand how profiles are being shared.
Fixed: Signals tab now loads in Axon for teams with completed Pulse surveys.
- Fixed an issue in Axon that prevented the Signals tab from loading for teams with completed Pulse surveys.
- Practitioners can now view Signals insights as expected inside of Axon after survey completion.

Fixed: Reporting feature restored for all users
- We resolved an issue preventing users from generating Individual, Pair, Team, and other reports.
- All reporting functions are now fully operational.

Fixed: When completing the HBDI Assessment, text always appears in English in the congratulations email
- Updated the code so that when the user's selected language is not English US, the email will be sent in the selected language.

- Available in the Account Settings in Chinese Simplified, English UK, English US, French, German and Spanish.
- Your selection is saved and displayed consistently across the platform.
New: Add a photo to personalize your Thinker profile
- Thinkers can now personalize their profiles by uploading a photo or avatar through Account Settings.
- Images must be 360x360 pixels and in png, gif, jpeg, or webp format.
- We’ve also added security checks to ensure safe uploads.
- If your image doesn't meet the requirements or contains a virus, you'll be notified right away.
