WHAT:
Herrmann is now providing both new and returning users with an updated login experience to our platform.
HOW:
HOW: Returning Herrmann Users
STEP 1: Users will access the Herrmann platform with the same URL as they have been using previously.
STEP 2: Then, users will be directed to an updated Herrmann login page where they will insert their email address linked to their Herrmann account.
STEP 3: Users will then be redirected to complete the login process. They will experience one of two paths:

- Path 1: If users belong to an organization that has enabled single sign-on, they will be redirected to the login page of the identity provider used by their organization.
Note: A Thinker cannot sign in via SSO unless the feature has been enabled at their organization.

- Path 2: If users do not belong to an organization that has enabled single sign-on authentication, they will be redirected to input their password associated with their Herrmann account. Please note that there is a URL change for the page where users put in their password (https://auth.herrmannsolutions.net/).
STEP 4: After entering their credentials, users will be redirected back to the Herrmann platform where they will be successfully logged in.
HOW: New Herrmann Users
- Users will access the Herrmann platform through accepting the invitation link sent to them either via email on instructions sent to them by their organization.
- Users will be directed to an updated Herrmann account creation page and input their email address.
- Users will then be redirected to complete the login process. They will experience one of two paths:
- Path 1: If users belong to an organization that has enabled single sign-on, they will be redirected to the login page of the identity provider used by their organization.
Note: A Thinker cannot sign in via SSO unless the feature is enabled at their organization.
Path 2: If users do not belong to an organization that has enabled single sign-on authentication, they will be redirected to create a password to be used for their Herrmann account. Please note that there is a URL change for the page where users put in their password (https://auth.herrmannsolutions.net/).
After entering their credentials, users will be redirected back to the Herrmann platform to finish creating their account.
WHO:
All Herrmann users, both new and existing, have the opportunity to use this new login experience!
WHY:
The updated login experience is important for a variety of reasons:
- To give users a seamless account creation and sign in process for our users with quick account sign in support resources when needed.
- To provide users an even more safe and secure account creation and login experience.
- Allow for ease of implementing alternative authentication methods, such as single sign-on, for organizations that are interested in enabling that feature,
