Granting Approval and Permissions for Stop & Think

To properly install Stop & Think, some organizations require additional permissions for approval. Please have your Global Administrator or Teams Administrator follow these steps to approve the Stop & Think app in the Microsoft Marketplace:

Option 1: Approving Stop & Think for the first time

Option 2: Re-approving Stop & Think

Option 1: Approving Stop & Think for the first time

  1. Administrators should head to this link or Log in to Microsoft’s Teams admin center. To access this page, you must have a Global Admin or Teams Administrator role. Herrmann and the Stop & Think team do not manage this process or permissions.
  2. Search for the Stop & Think app under Teams apps > Manage apps. Then click on the Stop & Think app name.
  3. Confirm that the Status toggle (1) is on and set to "allowed."

  4. Once you have confirmed that the Stop & Think app is “allowed,” select the Permissions tab (2) to review the app and approve the App Permissions.

  5. Click the button Review permission and cons…(3) to grant or review admin consent for the app.

Once the app has been “allowed” and the permissions are approved, they will propagate throughout the Microsoft Store. This process can take a few hours.

If you or your users want more immediate access, you must Sign out of Microsoft Teams and sign back into your account.

Once propagated, the Stop & Think app will be available for your user base to install and use in chats, meetings, and teams!

Optional Step: If your organization would like to further limit access to the Stop & Think app, we recommend that you set up a new App Permission Policy.

Option 2: Re-Approving Stop & Think

Occasionally, users will experience issues using Stop & Think due to misaligned permission settings. To address this, administrators can do the following steps:

  1. The administrator heads to this link.
  2. In the Manage Apps page, search for Stop & Think.
  3. Click on Stop & Think to inspect the permissions. Click the Review permissions and cons... button.
  4. See if there is a new permission that needs to be approved. All permissions should be green checkmarked. Click Accept
