Many Thinkers completed an HBDI® in the Herrmann Thinking Management System (HTMS) and they do not have an Axon User Account. Therefore, they cannot access their HBDI® results in Axon. The good news is Thinkers just need to create an Axon User Account and we can match up their User Account to their HBDI® Survey.
The Thinker's Point of View
Reclaim My HBDI®
As a Thinker who has been invited to complete a new HBDI®, I can create my Axon User Account and then click on the "I think I've already taken this assessment." link just below the "Start Assessment button.
Now I have two options. If I still have access to the email address I used when I completed the HBDI®, I can simply enter that email address in the form (shown below) and the Herrmann Axon system will connect my newly created User Account and my previously completed HBDI®. I'll get an email confirming that I have access to my HBDI® through Axon.
But, if I don't have access to the email address I can answer a few questions, and submit the request and the Herrmann Support Team will help me "reclaim" my HBDI®. The Support team will send me an email and let me know if the information I provided is enough to reclaim my HBDI® or if I'll need to provide a little more information.
The Certified Practitioner's (CP's) Point of View
As a Certified Practitioner, if you've invited a Thinker to complete the HBDI® and they have already completed it previously (and prior to Axon), the Thinker can use the process as described above. But if you have several Thinkers that you know have completed the HBDI® in the past, you can use the "Batch Registration" process to help them get access to their HBDI®.
If the Thinker's email address is still valid and they still have access to that email address, you can help those Thinkers easily create an Axon User Account.
Request a Batch Registration
You'll need to create a simple list of email addresses and send the list to the Herrmann Support team, with your request to add those Thinkers as Users to Axon. The Herrmann Support team will upload the file of email addresses you provided and send you back a link you can then can provide to the Thinkers.
You'll need to send an email that explains why you want to have each Thinker create a User account and you'll include the URL/link that the Herrmann Support team provides you.
Thinkers will be able to click that link, create a User account, provide consent to accessing their HBDI®, and this process will link their User Account with their HBDI®.
Getting a List of Assessments from Axon
As a Practitioner, you have permission to view the Assessments within the organization(s) you have access to. This means you can pull a list of Assessments and sort out those that were "migrated" from the Herrmann Thinking Management System (HTMS). These Assessments will not have an Axon User Account, unless the Thinker was explicitly asked to create their User Account in Axon. So, In order for them to access their HBDI® Data, they'll need to create their account.
Here's how to pull a list of Assessments
- From the Axon system, use the "Search For" function, and go to Assessments.
- Search for Assessments that fit your criteria, such as:
* Assessments that were completed in the past 5 years
* Assessments that were completed in the HTMS (Migrated)
* Assessments in a particular Data Role
- Once you have the list of Assessments you are interested in, scroll to the bottom of the page and look for two things:
1-the number of Assessments found n(capture that number to verify your export later),
2-Download CSV link in the lower left corner
- Click Download and watch for the file to become available in your Downloads
- Open the file in Excel or Google sheets
- Note that the list may have duplicates of Assessments since each Assessment will be listed for each "group" it is included in. If you want to remove the duplicates, use Excel or Google sheets and look for the ability to "Remove Duplicates" and select the duplicates on the Thinker's first name, last name, email address. Do not include in that search the "group".
- This list of assessments has A LOT of data. You will only need the email addresses for the Batch Registration, so you can delete all the other data and save this list of email addresses.
Now that you have the list of email addresses, you are ready to request support from the Herrmann team.
The Herrmann team will send you a link that is specific to this list of assessments/email addresses.
Then you'll send an email from your system to all those Thinkers, with the link and a little about "why" you want them to create their Axon User Account.
Sample Email message to send to your Thinkers when you send them the link provided by Herrmann:
Sometime in the past you completed an HBDI® Thinking Styles Assessment from Herrmann International (Herrmann). Herrmann has a new system that was designed with more resources and security and privacy in mind. In order for you to have access to your HBDI® and additional resources Herrmann has available now, you'll need to create a User Account and request that Herrmann link your previously completed HBDI® to your new User Account. It's easy. Simply click on this link ______________________ and follow the instructions. Once you've created your User Account, you can update your settings, and view your HBDI® results anytime, and print a PDF of your results if you need it.
You may also want to include any specifics about your organization and how access to a previously completed HBDI® could be helpful in your specific organization.
When the Thinker receives the email above, and clicks on the link, they will be taken to a webpage that looks like this:
Once they create their new Axon User Account:
This page will display, and will indicate that they should receive an email to verify their user account:
Clicking on the "Confirm Account" link as pictured above takes the Thinker to this page, in order for the Thinker to provide "Consent" to using the HBDI.
They will login to Axon and then be offered the option to select a language for using the Axon system:
